Vertical Sleeve gastrectomy, also called a vertical sleeve gastrectomy, is a surgical weight-loss procedure. This procedure is typically performed laparoscopically, which involves inserting small instruments through multiple small incisions in the upper abdomen. During sleeve gastrectomy, about 80% of the stomach is removed, leaving a tube-shaped stomach about the size and shape of a banana.

In his coaching practice, Dane will specialize in helping VSG patients who have struggled to meet their weight loss goals and draws on his personal experience with VSG surgery to provide a unique and personal insight into the needs of each client. He overcame those issues as well as his lifelong battle with obesity and brings a unique perspective to working with his clients. Deepak is also a speaker, course instructor, published writer, and actively working on becoming a Centenarian.
